Download WhatsApp

Due to its widespread availability across mobile platforms, you can download WhatsApp onto your mobile device from its respective app store! After doing so, setting up WhatsApp will be a breeze.

Steps

Using iOS

  1. Tap the "App Store" app.
  2. Tap Search. This is on the bottom of your screen.
  3. Type in "WhatsApp".
  4. Tap "whatsapp". It should be the first result in the drop-down menu.
  5. Tap GET. This should be to the right of "WhatsApp Messenger."
  6. Tap INSTALL.
  7. Enter your Apple ID and password. After doing so, your WhatsApp download will begin.
    • Your download may begin without needing your Apple ID credentials.

Using an Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Tap the magnifying glass icon.
  3. Type in "WhatsApp".
  4. Tap Go.
  5. Tap "WhatsApp Messenger".
  6. Tap Install. This will be in the top right section of your screen.[1]
  7. Tap Accept if prompted. Once you do so, your app download will commence.

Using a Windows Phone

  1. Open the "Marketplace" application.
  2. Tap Apps.
  3. Tap the search field. This should be at the top of your screen.[2]
  4. Type in "WhatsApp".
  5. Tap "WhatsApp". It should appear below the search field as you type.
  6. Tap Install. You can find this near the top of the WhatsApp screen. Once you tap Install, WhatsApp will begin downloading.

Tips

  • Once you've downloaded WhatsApp, you can set it up with your mobile phone number and contacts list.

Warnings

  • Make sure your phone has enough space to support WhatsApp before you download it.
