Download and Install the iPod and iPhone Drivers in Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8
If you are experiencing problems installing the driver for your iPod/iPhone, or just simply want to charge your iPod without iTunes, then here are a few simple steps to get your iPod/iPhone driver installed.
Steps
- Make sure your iPod is unplugged.
- Download the CopyTrans Drivers Installer.
- Extract the contents of the downloaded file. Right click the downloaded file and click Extract All, then click Extract in the wizard that appears.
- Double-click the extracted installation file. In the Windows Explorer window that opens, double click CopyTransDriversInstaller.exe to run it.
- Accept the disclaimer. Check the box next to I have read and accept the disclaimer.
- Install the drivers for your iPod. Click Automatic install.
Warnings
- Make sure you are the administrator if you are on Windows XP
- Make sure iTunes isn't installed, otherwise it will not work.
