Draw Captain America

Captain America is one of the world's favorite superheroes! Here's a step-by-step guide to help you draw him. Let's begin!

Steps

A Cartoon Captain America

1. Draw a small circle on the top of the page for the skull.
2. Drop down a small perpendicular line bisecting the circle.
3. Create an ‘U’ at the base of the circle.
4. Put three small lines one below the other at the centre of the perpendicular line.
5. Draw five straight lines joining each other at angles as shown in the drawing.
6. Join an angular box at the base of the above shape.
7. Create a small irregular box for the right upper arm.
8. Join another tapered box on the end of the upper arm for the lower arm.
9. Follow it with joining a five sided covered area for the fist.
10. Draw an oval for the thigh.
11. Overlap it with another oval for the lower leg.
12. Overlap the base of the oval with a rectangle.
13. Join another small perpendicular box from the base of the above.
14. Attach an inverted bucket at its base for the foot.
15. Create another oval for the other thigh.
16. Overlap it with a small circle for the knee.
17. Further overlap it with another circle for the lower leg followed by a small oval for the other foot.
18. Make a big oval for the shield in the position shown.
19. Put a couple of symmetrical lines for the guides to the eyes.
20. Draw all the details.
21. Erase unwanted lines.
22. Color the character.

A Simple Captain America

1. Create a small circle.
2. Bisect it with a diagonal line extending further out of the circle.
3. Create a closed area with straight lines as shown for the jaw.
4. Make a six sided area for the upper body.
5. Add a couple of circle for the deltoids.
6. Overlap it with another oval for the right arm.
7. Attach an overlapping cube for the right fist.
8. Join an angular rectangle for the waist.
9. Make a vertical oval at a distance as shown for the right thigh.
10. Overlap the lowest tip of it with a small oval for the knee.
11. Overlap another oval for the calf area.
12. Attach a long tapered box at the base of it.
13. Join it with an irregular pentagon for the right shoe.
14. Overlap a curved area as shown for the fold as shown.
15. Draw a circle for the left knee at a distance as shown.
16. Attach it with a similar folded area like the other foot.
17. Create a similar shoe guide but of a smaller size.
18. Draw the shield-guide with an angular oval.
19. Make all the detailing.
20. Erase away unnecessary guides.
21. Color and shade Captain America.

Tips

• Don't draw to hard, it's difficult to erase the mistakes or the guidelines.
• Don't expect it to be perfect in one try. You have do practice, practice and practice.
• Pencil works better to draw then a pen. But you can use a pen to darken the outlines.
• Keep practicing.

Warnings

• Be careful when you erase the mistakes/guidelines. The eyes/facial details could fade away.
