Draw a Pig

This tutorial will teach you how to draw a realistic pig and a cute cartoon pig.

Steps

A Realistic Pig

  1. Draw an oval for the body, slightly tilted downwards, then draw a circle for the head and a rectangle for the snout's outline.
  2. Draw the outline for the pig's thighs. Draw these using square-like shapes, wider at the top and narrower at the bottom. Note that the hind thigh is the biggest of the four.
  3. Draw the leg outline. The outline of the front legs are drawn with rectangles wider at the top and narrower at the bottom. The hind legs are drawn with 2 irregular squares each. Notice that they form an angle with the thigh outline.
  4. Use irregular triangles for the ears and feet.
  5. Draw your pig's final outline.
  6. Draw the details. Draw the tail with a loop. Draw the eyes between the outline of the snout and body. Draw the snout's details and the mouth. Draw the details of the feet.
  7. Erase all unnecessary outlines.
  8. Color your pig.

Cute Cartoon Pig

  1. Draw a bean shape for your pig's outline. Draw a cross outline to help align the eyes.
  2. Draw the ears.
  3. Draw the iris of each eye. Darken the insides. Draw an oval-like shape with a flat base for the legs.
  4. Draw the snout and the mouth. Use your guidelines to align them. To detail the legs, draw a line to separate the paws from the legs.
  5. Erase your cross guideline. Draw a curly tail for your pig. Draw the slits of the snout and arcs under the eyes. Draw the detail of the feet with a line.
  6. Color your pig.

  • If you want to enhance realism or place the image in some scenery or context, add some shadows!
