Find Things to Do While Being Grounded

Are you grounded because of something you did or just because of bad grades? Well, there are ways of having fun while being grounded.

Steps

  1. Have Fun Whilst Doing Your Chores. While this may not seem like the most exciting way, it is possible to have fun while you do chores. In addition, your parents will be impressed and may shorten your sentence.
  2. Wash your parents car on a hot day.
  3. Give your dog a walk.
  4. Go run errands with your parents
  5. Clean your shoes.
  6. Go outdoors. Take the solitary time to get some fresh air.
  7. Be good. This may also help make your parents to consider "un-grounding" you.
  8. Earn some money.

Tips

  • It's unhealthy to be always confined at home and at work—so get out!
  • Maturity goes a long way to keep you from getting grounded.
  • Try not to sneak behind your parents' backs. If you absolutely must, have a good reason for doing so in case they find out ("I had to use my iPod to review that educational movie for Science," or "I went on the computer because I was stuck on my homework and needed some help.")
  • Try to find a way to stay out of the house as much as possible because it's your life, not anyone else's.
  • Live as though you have nothing to hide.
  • If your sisters or brothers are home and you want to go somewhere, just ask them not to tell the parents. When you get home, be extra nice to them or they will tell!
  • If your parents see that you are having too much fun, they might give you chores to do, or they may make you go your grandparent's house while they aren't home.
  • If you go out when you're not supposed to, do not stay out for long. If your parents call and you don't answer, they'll suspect you are not there.
  • If you have siblings, ask them to sneak stuff for you.

Warnings

  • Do not complain, or your grounding will be extended.
  • Do not lie.
  • Do not overdo it. They know what's best.
