Find a Job on AngelList

AngelList is a great tool for matching candidates to up and coming startups. As a potential employee, you can browse through startups by location and type that are hiring people like you.

Steps

  1. Sign into AngelList and click on the Jobs tab. If you are new to the website, create a profile by linking your account to Facebook or LinkedIn.
  2. Create your talent profile. Your talent profile contains your education, your past experience, and your skills.
  3. Search for startups that are looking new employees. You can search by location, job type and roll, and compensation, among other criteria.
  4. Browse through startups that meet your criteria. Read about their history, mission, and culture. Scroll down to look at job openings, and click on the headings to read the full job description.
    • To increase your chances of being contacted by the company, make sure that you review the job description of each startup to make sure you meet the qualifications and requirements.
  5. Add interesting startups to your “Yes List”. When you see a startup that you would like to join, click “Yes, I’m Interested”.
    • If you want, click to add a personal message to the company. Explain why you are interested in them, and what specific skills of yours would be useful to them. Adding a personal message will increase your chances of being contacted, especially by companies that get a lot of applications.
  6. Wait for matches. The company will be notified when you add them to your Yes list. They can then view your profile, and if they are interested in you, they will add you to their Yes list. AngelList will then set up an email introduction so that you can continue the interview process for the position.
