Identify an Airbus A330

Are you an aviation enthusiast and gone plane spotting but failed to have identified the aircraft you saw? Well here is an article on how to identify the Airbus a330 and some differences between this plane and others. Enjoy

Steps

  1. This airliner is usually used for long/medium haul flights from international destinations so if you see the plane it mostly won't originate from the country you live in.
  2. It is a twin engined plane and has one engine on each wing.
    • The engines on this plane will be fully covered in many versions of the plane with no exhaust cone visible.
    • Moreover the engines will be smaller in size compared to the Boieng 777 which distinguishes this plane from its Boieng counterpart.
  3. Landing Gear
    • This plane has double bogey landing gear which means there are 4 wheels on each set of the wheels.
    • Do not confuse it with the 777 as it has six wheels instead of four on each set.
  4. Time of the day
    • Long haul flights are usually night or evening flights which  usually reach destinations in the evening ,early morning or late at  night .

Tips

  • Dawn or evening will be great times to spot this plane as it is in the skies at these given times.
  • Night has majority of these airliners flying but the visibility would be poor and you may be able to identify it
