Join a Classic Car Club
Do you find that when a classic car passes you by, your heart beats a little faster? Perhaps you realize that a number of the magazines you subscribe to are classic-car oriented. Maybe you find that, rather than playing golf with your friends on weekends, you attend classic car shows. If these blurbs describe you, you may want to join a classic car club. You don't have to own a classic car to become a member.

Steps
- Decide what kind of car club you want to join. Are you passionate about classic cars in general or a particular make or model?
- Take steps to fully research your interests.
- The quickest way to find any car club is through the Internet. Navigate to the membership section and apply on line once you find right site.
- Attend a classic car show. See if show participants display club badges or stickers on or beside their vehicles. They should be able to answer any questions you have.
- Automobile magazines are another great way to find car clubs. Some publications are model-specific while others are generalized. Any of these have ads for car clubs with contact information on the last few pages.
- Time and money spent at flea markets picking over greasy, dirty old parts that came out of old cars can often result in a car club contact. Many of them are collectors who buy parts even when they don't own the model of car they go into.
- Once you find the right car clubs, contact them by phone or email.
- Join the right classic car club. Membership gives you the ability to attend events and shows that may not be accessible to the public.
- You will be able to hear guest lectures and meet people of a like mind.
- You may also be able to acquire your dream car from another member.
