Make Chicken Avocado Pasta

Making yourself a healthy lunch or dinner can seem a long process, and one you might not look forward to when coming back home late from work, sport or studies. Yet, it is possible to make something healthy quickly, and this pasta recipe is both easy and healthy at the same time. It's a delicious meal that will entice your friends and family to join you!

Ingredients

  • 1 skinless, boneless chicken breast
  • Spiral noodles
  • Avocado
  • Any dressing or sauce that may make a good combination with this recipe, but not any dressing or sauce that is sour or too sweet. You would much more likely to choose Alfredo Sauce or mayonnaise.
  • Shredded parmesan cheese
  • Oregano

Steps

  1. Thaw the chicken breast in the microwave.
  2. Begin boiling two medium sized pots of water.
  3. While the water is boiling, cut the thawed chicken into bite sized pieces.
  4. The water should be boiling by this time. Place the pieces of chicken into one of the pots and about a cup and a half of pasta noodles into the other pot.
  5. While you're waiting for the chicken and noodles to cook, slice up half an avocado into small pieces.
  6. When the noodles and chicken are ready, put them into a bowl. Add the avocado, some sauce or dressing of your choice, Parmesan cheese, and a little oregano to create more taste. Mix it all together.

Tips

  • Try different spices in the pasta or a different meat.
  • For Vegetarian, try adding diced firm tofu that has marinated in garlic flavored oil. Then you can cook it like the chicken.

  • Remove chicken from all plastic wrap and Styrofoam containers before microwaving.
  • Try to add cream (or cream cheese) with garlic for the sauce. Just add a bit of garlic to cream with salt and pepper and it should fit in great.
