Make a Grilled Chicken Sandwich

This is made similarly to the sandwiches sold at fast food places like Burger King and McDonald's. You can make the chicken either grilled or use bread crumbs to make it crispy. It is also great to eat as an open sandwich, on one slice of toast.

Ingredients

  • Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • Hamburger Buns/ Panini rolls
  • Bread Crumbs
  • Mayo
  • American Cheese Slices
  • Lettuce (Sliced)
  • Tomatoes (Sliced)

Optional Ingredients

  • Mexican Seasoning
  • Ranch Dressing
  • Turkey Ham
  • Turkey Bacon
  • Colby Jack Cheese Slices
  • Pepper Mayo

Steps

  1. Get chicken breast. Slice it into a big circle, a little larger than the bun's size. Prepare the chicken and cook it until it is warm enough ( 10- 12 mins on each side).
  2. Be careful handling this as it will be hot. Wait until it cools off a little, but don't wait too long or it will be too cold.
  3. Take out a bun and slice it in half with a knife. Be careful while doing this. Then, place the bottom half of the bun on a clean surface. If you want it to be breaded, roll it around in a lot of bread crumbs. Then when you are ready, place the chicken on the bun' bottom half.
  4. Add toppings on the patty. You may want ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles, lettuce, tomato, cheese, or others. Pick the toppings you want and then put it on the "half chicken sandwich". You don't have to put toppings in if you don't want any. Look for some ideas in the "Tips" section.
  5. Place on the top bun. Serve on a plate with a drink, french fries or another side. Enjoy!

Tips

  • If you'd like a Chicken Club, add Turkey Ham with the sandwich.
  • If you'd like a Ranch BLT Chicken , replace the mayo with ranch dressing & add 3 Turkey Bacon Strips.
  • Or if you'd like the Spicy Chicken to be extreme, replace the American cheese with Colby Jack, replace mayo with pepper mayo & add 3 Turkey Bacon strips.
  • If you'd like a Spicy Chicken , stir Mexican seasoning in with the bread crumbs & coat the chicken breast with it before cooking.

Warnings

  • Be careful handling oven/grill.
  • It will be hot when you take it out of the oven/grill.
  • Be careful when handling a knife.
  • If you're a kid do this with adult supervision and help.
