Make an Egg Salad Sandwich
Egg salad sandwiches are a staple on sandwich platters. They are easy to make and yummy to eat.
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- mayonnaise - 1 tsp to 2 tbsp
- 2 slices bread or tortilla wrap
- chopped green onion (optional)
- chopped parsley (optional)
- chopped celery (optional)
- lettuce (optional)
- sliced tomato (optional)
Steps
- Hard boil one egg for each sandwich (two if you have using a tortilla wrap or like extra filling).
- Peel the egg.
- Place the egg in a bowl and mash with a fork.
- Mix in mayonnaise.
- Add chopped green onion, parsley or celery if desired.
- Salt and pepper as needed.
- Spread filling on bread or in a tortilla wrap.
- Add lettuce or tomatoes if desired.
- Add top slice of bread or wrap tortilla.
- Serve and enjoy.
Tips
- Try toasting your bread for extra crunch.
- Cut sandwich into quarters when adding to a sandwich platter.
- For added flavour, use ranch salad dressing instead of mayonnaise.
- Make it fun and cut it with cookie cutters for your child/children in fun animal shapes.
- For an extra something, add mustard to the mix and use a spinach tortilla.
