Make a Small Fox from a Plastic Straw
This endearing little fox is made from pieces of a plastic straw. The next time you use a plastic straw when you're enjoying a meal out, bring it home for recycling into a few sweet foxes and share them with your friends as good luck or friendship tokens.
Steps
- Press the end piece of the straw flat. If you're reusing a straw, make sure that it is dry before pressing it flat.
- The straw piece used is best if it is within the range between a diameter of 6-7mm - about 5cm (2 inches) and a diameter of 12-13mm - about 7cm (2.75 inches).
- Cut the flattened straw as directed by the red lines in the figure. Only the red lines represent cutting areas.
- Fold the cut-out as shown in the figure.
- Draw in the eyes using a marker.
- Make use of the little fox decoration.
- If the size fits, it can be used as an ornament for the end of a pencil.
- The fox can be used as an ornament in a small flowerpot. Even if it gets wet with water, it doesn't matter as it's waterproof!
Warnings
- Be careful not to cut your fingers with the scissors.
