Make a Sock Cellphone Case

Make a cellphone case out of a sock. Just follow these simple steps. Start with a colorful sock for extra style and color.

Steps

  1. Take the sock and trace your cellphone on it. Cut the sock leaving about two extra inches at the top.
  2. Sew the two pieces around three sides, leaving the top end open, or use the sides and bottom of the sock.
  3. Open the open end of the sock and cut one side so that it is longer than the other.
  4. On the longer side of the open end, sew a button.
  5. Near the bottom of the sock, make two small holes with a pencil.
  6. Double up a rubber band or hair band and put it through the holes.
  7. Put both ends of the bands around the button.
  8. Accessorize. Make sure it represents you! Make it colorful and pretty.

Tips

  • Make sure you tie off the sewing correctly so your phone doesn't fall out the bottom.
  • Make sure you sew the bottom part evenly and don't mess up. Its hard to start over. Go slow so you know what you're doing.
