Override 2004 Toyota Sienna "in Motion" GPS Lockout

Not being able to enter addresses into Toyota's Navigation system on the fly is a huge inconvenience. Those who don't know this sequence are forced to bring their vehicle to a complete stop in order to enter an address into their 'convenient' Toyota/Lexus GPS system. Listed here are the steps to override that annoying lockout on a 2004 Toyota Sienna XLE AWD Limited.

Steps

1. Turn on and park. The vehicle must me turned on and please, for safety's sake, parked.
2. Press the Menu softbutton located at the lower right of the screen. This reveals the Menu screen.
3. Press the DVD softbutton located at the top right of the Menu screen.
4. On the DVD info screen, press these FIVE positions in this exact sequence: Upper Left, Lower Left, Upper Left, Lower Left, Lower Right. This should reveal the SERVICE MENU. If not, press BACK to exit the DVD info screen and go back to step 3.
5. From the Service Menu, press and hold the OVERRIDE button until it is selected
6. Press BACK at the top right to exit the Service Menu.
7. Press BACK at the top right to exit the DVD info screen.
