Solve an Equation on a Scientific Calculator

Steps

  1. Slide the calculator out of its protective cover
  2. Clear the display and memory by pressing "AC"
  3. Insert the equation that you would like to solve. For example, 6+x=12.
  4. To insert the variable, press "ALPHA" and then look for a key with the desired letter above it, Example is X,Y,Z and more. (For X this is the right parenthesis key)
  5. To insert the equals sign("="), press "ALPHA" and the "CALC" button. You will notice the equals sign is an alphabetical character above "CALC"
  6. Press "shift" then "CALC", which will perform the SOLVE operation.
  7. The numerical solution will be displayed for your use
