Create a Heart Eyes Emoji Card

Emojis are great. Cards are great. If you combine the two, you get something unique, adorable, and funny. From the classic yellow circle for the face to the red heart-eyes, it is a great card fit for any occasion. Read on to learn how to easily create a card that lights up the receiver's eyes.

Steps

Preparation

  1. First, get your supplies. You will need one 9x12, yellow, heavy-weight piece of construction paper, one 4x5 piece of red paper, paper hearts that are about two inches in length, glue, scissors, and markers.

Creation

  1. Then, fold the yellow construction paper in half and turn it so the crease is to your left. Be sure that it is even.
  2. After folding the construction paper, use the scissors to round the edges, making the card a circular shape. Be sure that most of the crease is still there.
  3. Next, use the scissors to cut a smile out of the red paper. The smile should look like a flat D.
  4. Then, use the glue to glue the hearts and smile to the folded, yellow, construction paper to make it look like a face.

Presentation

  1. After creating the card, add a message inside of it with the markers. Try something like, "Hope your (insert name of holiday or special event here) is as happy as this card!"
  2. Next, personalize your card! Add designs, stickers, or any other things that make your card special.
  3. Then, let the card dry for 30-60 minutes. Remember to keep the card open so nothing gets stuck on something else.
  4. Finally, give the card to its receiver and watch their face light up.

Tips

  • If you want, you can make other emojis into cards, too! Emoji cards may seem hard to create without instruction, but they are actually very simple if you have the emoji in front of you with enough supplies.

Warnings

  • When personalising your card, make sure it does not get weighed down, or else it might rip.
