Tell Your Best Friend You Love Them

If you care for your best friend as much more than just a friend and you've decided to tell him or her, follow these steps.

Make sure you actually love them, and are not just being needy. Sometimes when we feel vulnerable or insecure, it is easy to feel more attached to a supportive friend and feel like being with them can make everything better.
Escape the Friend Zone. Assuming you want this best friend to love you back, it won't hurt to start acting like you want to be more than friends, so that if they don't have those feelings for you yet, maybe they can develop.

If your friend seems shocked and doesn't say they love you back, give them some space. If you don't, things will go back to normal, and it will be like you never told them. But if you give them some space, maybe they'll realize how great you are and discover that they love you too. Say, "I know this might be a big surprise, so I'll leave you alone for a little while so you can digest it, and when you're ready, we can talk about it, okay?"

Don`t blurt it out to him in front of loads of others, as you will just embarrass yourself!
Be prepared that he may turn you down.
