Tell if Someone Is Single

If you are not social at school/ college/ work place, it's not easy to tell if someone is single. Here are some tips to help.

Steps

Ask common friends.
Read their blog, personal website or Facebook / Myspace profile. People frequently will say on their page their current relationship status.
Check if they are wearing a wedding or engagement ring.
Notice if they are often with the same boy or girl; that person may be their boyfriend or girlfriend.
Mention something that someone would do with a boyfriend or girlfriend, say "I went to a movie last night,etc..." and they will usually come right out and say "oh me and my bf/gf did too"
Most people will flat out say if they are with someone and if they don't then maybe it's not too serious

If you don't feel comfortable talking to them about this matter, as stated above it's best to ask close friends or one of their friends.
Usually if one has a boyfriend or girlfriend they will be around them a lot, if said person is holding hands, hugging, or just always talking to one person it usually means they are not single. Chances are that's their boyfriend or girlfriend if it's not then they are interested in that person and not you.
When she is hanging around with a lot of people of his/her own age and at the same sex or a mix of boys and girls, chances are that the person is most likely single and may be looking for a date.
Here are a few Questions you can ask them to find out if they are single or not: So who are you seeing now? So how has love been treating you? Got anyone special?
Although it may seem ridiculous to say, asking them personally is always the best approach to see if they are single. It's best to become friends with this person then you can ask them stuff about the topic without it seeming too suspicious.

Be aware of the fact that they may have someone else they like and may not show it. Keep on high alert for any signs that may suggest they like someone else. If you obviously flirt with them and they secretly like someone else, you would put them in a really awkward position.
If they are single but interested else where...you may want to look around....
If they are not single and you begin flirting around with them their boy/girlfriend may get a little jealous
