1080 on a BMX
Template:Stub The 1080 is for the people who love spinning on a bike. Before you try such a big spin, get the basics down first. This article will give you some tips on a huge spin that will probably get you sponsored.
Steps
- Learn some smaller spins. Before you even think about the 1080, definitely learn the 180. It's a much smaller spin but can lead to huge tricks. Practice it until it's second nature to you. After the 180, learn the 360. It's basically just two 180's back to back. It's a very fun trick too. Nail the 360 at least five times before moving on to the 540, 720 and 900. These tricks are really hard so learn how to fall properly.
- Find a big half pipe. Try to go to a skate park really early so you're on your own to practice. However, after you can do it, you'll want to show off, right? Drop in to the half pipe and practice your 180's, 360's, 540's, 720's and 900's. After you've nailed them, try and add another 180 to your 900. Give your bike a big pull and have at it.
- Land it. Land your bike straight and ride it out. Good luck!
Tips
- Wear the appropriate protective gear when trying this trick.
- You should practise in a foam pit, then you should take a break.
- When you're spinning keep the bars at stomach.
Warnings
- Suggest the foam pit before you do it on jump boxes or dirt jumps there for you don't have an under rotation or dirt, concrete or wood for dinner
