Build a Wooden Sailboat
wanna get a toy boat that actually works well here is how to do it
Steps
- Get a small piece of wood. A piece about 30 cm long should do it. Carve into the base of the boat (deck) and just smooth it up a bit. If you want it to be colored, paint it.
- Add the pole for the sail. Use a thin strong and smooth stick, with no sharp edges. You also need a small piece of wood. Place the stick into the boat and hot glue or super glue it to the deck of the boat.
- Build a mast. Get a napkin or handkerchief and make fold it so it is a triangle and will also cover half the stick as the mast, now super glue it to the mast and your ready
- Try it out when the wind is blowing. Take it out to a small pond or other small body of water.
Tips
- Add color to the boat.
- Use a colorful handkerchief to make the sail look nice.
- Build it properly so nothing happens like one side is heavy and the other is light.
- Make test runs.
Warnings
- Do not try this as a kid alone; do it with a parent or guardian
- do not carve yourself let a parent or gaurdian do this
