Describe the homes of Mesopotamia

In Mesopotamia's big city, about 300,000 people lived. Buildings were made up of mud Sargon ofAkkad bricks, though some houses were made up of reeds. These houses were very similar to the houses still built in Southern Iraq. The buildings usually had two storeys with no windows. It had a flat roof for the family to sleep and a central courtyard. These courtyards were usually used by the visitors to get their dusty feet washed by slaves. The bedrooms were upstairs, while the kitchen, store rooms, living rooms were downstairs.
