Draw People Faces
Many people know how to draw lots of different things, but a real challenge is drawing people faces. These simple steps will help you become an expert people face drawer!

Steps
- Start with the head and the neck. (If you want a neck of course). You can just draw a face if you want to. A head is an oval shape and it rests on the neck.
- Next draw the eyes so they are in the middle of the face.
- Draw the mouth and the nose. A nose can be many different shapes. Most of the time it's a kind of triangular shape. It often helps to try to use shading to bring out the shape of the nose rather than drawing its outline on.
- Draw on the hair (That is if you want hair or if you want your person bald!) There are two kinds of hair: facial hair such as eyebrows and beards; and the stuff on top of your head.
- Start to draw the ears. You don't have to get to technical about them if you don't want to. They are parallel to each other on the sides of your head.
- Add details. For example, you can add shading to the face, or you can draw on accessories like earrings or a necklace.
Tips
- Tips and Hints: You should level out the eye because you probably don’t want your person’s eyes to be on their forehead! Remember that your nose starts right about where your eyebrow line starts. The sides of your mouth line up with the middle of your eyes. Also remember that your forehead is four fingers across. Don’t worry about detailing; you can do that after you are done.
- Remember when you start don't get frustrated because you can get another paper or erase and believe in yourself. With more focus you can complete your picture.
- Remember- the more you practice the better you get!
Warnings
- Always keep an eraser or an extra pencil handy, you never know when you'll need it!
