Earn Mesos in MapleStory

Earn your mesos in just a few days! Doesn't matter if you are an Explorer, Cygnus Knight, Aran, Evan, Dual Blade, or part of the Resistance!

Steps

Training

  1. Train and get mesos. PQ will give rewards that you can sell for much mesos. Quests also gives rewards and mesos that you can keep or sell. Make sure you have fun while playing! Some PQS give you equips that you can use or sell.
  2. Train at Sakura Cellions in Amoria. They give a ridiculous amount of money compared to their level. (Easier to get to)
    • Leprechauns in Masteria give far more mesos per drop and have a much better drops including Steelys and Black Umbrellas. To go there, first travel to New Leaf City by buying a subway ticket in Kerning City and travel using the free taxi at the far left of the map. Then walk to the left side of the map until you see the portal, this is where the Leprechauns roam. (LV 40+)
    • You can also loot instead of train.

Quests

  1. Do the Orbis or Eos Tower quests everyday for about a week or so and sell all the scrolls you get. Each one can go for about 90-200k, which can get you a lot if you get enough scrolls.(High Level required).

Finders keepers

  1. Try to pick up mesos that are left by other users. A good place for looting for beginners is the Subway in Kerning City. This is almost reserved for a Sin.
  2. During MapleStory events where Maple Items are available, hunt for the weapons and Maple Leaves, then sell them for profit.
  3. Try to play during 2x drop rate hours. The average time is 2-4 pm PST (5-7 PM EST). Nexon hosts them when there's a rollback, on MapleStory's birthday (May), the summer, or on holidays.

Selling

  1. Check the FM for good deals, and sell them.(This will be very hard and time consuming since pros sell LV 10- stuff for 100K)
  2. On Sundays, buy the sharks from the 7th Day Market. Sell them to the merchant at a higher price.
  3. Sell fame to players willing to buy it for 50k or higher. Go to Henesys. There will be some people saying either B>FAME (amount of meso) or BUYING FAME.
    • Find the highest amount and trade the player
    • Tell the player that you are going to increase his fame
    • Double check the amount.
    • Go to the player and increase his fame. You will get around 2 million a day if you do this. However, you can only can do this once a day and you cannot increase; the same player again must wait for another month.
  4. Buy green paintbrushes at Ninja Castle in World Tour. Sell them for 200k; you make double the amount it sells for.
  5. Do PvP. Redeem your Gallent Emblems for Mystery scrolls and recipes and sell them for 4-6mil.

Begging

  1. Be a temporary hobo. Sure, you're probably thinking "I'm in public, in a game with over 10m people and I don't want to make myself look like a fool." Believe it or not but around 85 percent of MapleStory's top players asked for money, items, and even quest help. And just look at where they are now, at the Top Ranks in the homepage of MapleStory. So, it's ok to ask people for stuff, it's ok if you're in public doing it, you're in a game so you shouldn't be shy to do anything.

Places

  1. If you still have the gems from Nett's pyramid, use them! You get the chance to get a belt!
  2. Go to Monster Carnival and get a lot of Maple Coins. Exchange them with Spiegelman for necklaces, scroll them with the marbles and sell.

Tips

  • "Soul Arrow" is a skill for Wild Hunters that replaces the need for Crossbow arrows, for a limited time.
  • "Invincible" is a skill for Clerics that cancels out 30% of any physical damage taken in when maxed. Ideal for making you use Heal less often.
  • "Power Guard" is a skill for Pages and Fighters that channels 40% of any physical damage taken to the monster that dealt it. So you'd only take in 60% of the damage you would've taken if you didn't have this skill in. Less HP potions to buy means more money.
  • "Haste" is a skill for Thief-related classes that boosts your speed and jump. If you had mastered this skill, you can sell Hastes for around 50k per boost.
  • Consider buying Meso Magnets, Item Pouches, Magic Scales, and Wing Boots for your pet, so they can pick up your mesos and items, while you are training.
  • Use New Leaf City-exclusive potions. These potions/foods will heal the most HP and MP with the least amount of mesos used.
  • If you are a magician of any sort, you will find the skill "MP Eater" useful. When maxed, the skill has a high success rate of taking some of a killed monster's MP and giving it to you. You won't max this very early, though.
  • "Meso Guard" is a skill for Chief Bandits that, when maxed, takes 77% of any damage received and channels it to your meso instead of your HP. At the levels when you'll start using it, 100 HP will cost more than 100 meso. Plus, it helps to take in damage when killing bosses.
  • Take all of your monster drops.
  • If you are a Cleric/Priest/Bishop, you may find HP potions obsolete if you max "Heal" immediately after a point in Teleport. Heal replenishes all of your HP and most of your party's HP when maxed. You still need MP potions, though.
  • In the 7th Day Market, each item takes up one slot in the Set Up section, so you may find it useful if you create multiple characters to hold more items.

Warnings

  • Do not consider hacking, which is MapleStory's equivalent of cheating. It puts you at an unfair advantage to other Maplers who do not hack (the majority) because of the extra EXP and money you'll reap. Not only does it tick off the general population, but it delivers a 30-day ban, followed by a permaban. There was a period known as the "Hacker Era" from around November '06 to June '07 where hacking was almost uncontrollable. Since then, hackers are now rarer to spot.
  • Do not KS(Kill Steal). There is no real consequence of Kill Stealing other then one given by players, but Fame does make an impact on the game equipment wise. So it is better to play nicely with other players.
  • Meso Exploiting is a bad choice to make Mesos, Not only it destabilize the FM economy, but Nexon may do a rollback on the region. This happened in July 2010 and November 2010.
