Find and Hire a Charter Bus Company
Finding and hiring a charter bus company can be intimidating. Just follow these steps to make your trip a success.
Steps
- Do your research. Look up bus companies in your area, making sure they are reliable and popular enough. Websites may have lists of companies available to you.
- Try to get some recommendations. Talk to other people in your area, bringing up your desire to hire a bus company. You may find someone who has an established relationship with a company. That person could possibly get you a deal.
- Have all your information ready. Be aware of the dates you are leaving for events, when you would like to depart, and how long you plan to stay at your destination. When you call the company, it is necessary for them to know all of the above.
- Make sure you know everything you need to. Questions to ask bus companies: How much is the deposit? Will we need more than one driver (for long trips)? Is the cost of the driver's motel room included? Do we find the motel room? What is your cancellation policy?
- Decide on the best place for your group to depart from. Keep in mind that the buses need space and that there should be parking nearby.
Tips
- Try to use a company which is close to your pick up point as the less dead miles the company has to travel the less the the cost.
- Shop around for a good deal and talk to people about what companies they have used and what ones are good.
