Make a Blueberry Muffin Smoothie
With just a few ingredients, you can make a delicious blueberry muffin smoothie in seconds.
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen blueberries
- 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/4 cup oats
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
- 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 handfuls baby spinach (optional)
Steps
- Wash the spinach. Place the spinach into a bowl filled with lukewarm water and scrub the spinach with your hands.
- Prepare the ingredients. Have the blueberries, almond milk, oats, hemp seeds, ground flax seed, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and spinach in your workplace to make the process easier.
- Put the ingredients into a blender. In a good-quality blender, add all the ingredients.
- Blend the smoothie on high for one minute. Make sure the smoothie is lump free and smooth.
- Pour the smoothie into a glass. Transfer the freshly made smoothie into a clean drinking glass.
- Serve. Add a straw and place some blueberries and oats on top of the smoothie for decoration.
Tips
- Use fresh blueberries instead of frozen ones if you prefer.
- The spinach is optional but it makes the smoothie more nutritious. You won't be able to taste it in the smoothie.
- Replace maple syrup with another sweetener, such as stevia. You don't have to use any sweetener at all if you don't want any.
- Use vanilla protein powder in place of vanilla extract for extra protein.
- Measuring spoons and cups are not essential for this smoothie. Eyeballing it will work just fine.
