Make an Animated Image for MySpace

Have you ever wanted to make or do something to set your page different from the rest? Then follow these steps!

Steps

  1. Take a picture of you doing whatever it is you want to do for your default picture but do it step by step (Take the pictures one at a time so if you looked through the pictures really fast it would look like you're moving)
  2. Make sure you have it set at the right angle when taking each picture.
  3. Have all your pictures and then upload them to your computer from your camera.
  4. Go here or here. Upload the first picture that you want your moving picture to start moving at.
  5. Look up where it says animator, home, file, edit, draw, adjust, effects, etc. then next to effects click the gray button that says "animation". When a list drops down, click Add animation frame.
  6. Have a page and it says additional frame and a white box and a Browse button. Click Browse and choose the next picture after the one you uploaded earlier (as I said it's going to be like looking through a flip book where you flip the pages and the pictures look like they're moving) Then under that box it says Frame delay seconds. Erase the one and put it about 0.2 or 0.3 but if you want it to move really fast I suggest 0.1 it gets a little slower as you go up each number [0.1, 0.2, 0.3, etc.]
  7. Click upload now. It will then show you how the final project looks.
  8. Just repeat steps 5 to 7 for each picture of your moving picture.
  9. When you click Finish and you see the picture the way you want it, just right click it and save the picture.
  10. Upload it to your Myspace profile. You can also use it in other places and sites such as forum signatures and Facebook, etc.

Tips

  • If you want to add words and other decorative items, you should do those one by one also. You could (1) do them all separate or (2) do them after uploading one photo, then decorate, another photo, then decorate.
  • If you don't like the speed you have, raise the number a little higher, but the faster it is the more moving it looks. In my opinion 1 sec is just too slow for a moving pic unless you don't want it to look like you're moving.

Things You'll Need

  • Camera
  • Computer
  • USB cable or memory card reader (to transfer the pictures from the camera to the computer, unless you used a webcam)
  • Internet access
