Plan a Strategy
Whether you're gaming or playing sports, a good strategy can be your key to victory. Maybe you're planning world domination or you're trying to start your own country. If that's the case, you'll definitely need a good strategy. Luckily for you, your superhuman brainpower will come in quite handy. Are you ready to think strategically?
Steps
- Know your opponent. Sun Tzu in his book, art of war, recommends that you send spies to find out about your enemies' situation.
- Differentiate their weaknesses and tricks. Your enemies will try to trick you. To counter this, look for obvious clues. For example, if they decide to send a feint at the goal with a weak player, now you know that they are using a diversionary tactic.
- Plan your strategy. To do this, make sure you strike at their weak points and defend your attackers from harm. Make sure you make good use of every advantage and never miss an opportunity to gain the upper hand.
- Feint. Just like the Mongols, have some people lure the stronger enemies away from the important places. That way, your troops will be free to wreak havoc.
- Attack. Make sure you go all out on your attacks when the enemy is weakened, provided your own troops are still in good shape. This will prove to your advantage.
- Keep reserves. Things can go wrong. Always make sure you have some troops to prevent your starting camp/base from sneaky enemies.
- Never have a signature move. If you fight someone a lot, they might be able to learn what your moves are and figure out ways to counter you. Use variation.
- Try to confuse your enemies. This will ruin their chain of command, and ultimately, give you the upper hand in the fight.
Tips
- Read good strategy books, such as the art of war.
- Practice makes perfect.
