Productively Use Your Devices

In this article, you will know how to use your devices productively! This has been a huge distraction for many people and one of the hardest ones to avoid. So rather than avoiding it, we are going to adapt it in a way that we wanted to do in the first place without it.

Steps

The Sticky-Note Method

  1. Turn off Your Device.
  2. Lable Sticky-notes with tasks that you must do. Stick these around the device.
  3. Complete tasks. Remove each sticky-note one by one after each task is completed.

The Avoidance Method

  1. Create a folder. Put all of your distracting apps into this folder so they are less easily available.
    • Consider deleting app's that are too tempting such as social media apps or games.
  2. Take a break. Schedule a 10-minute break every hour to unwind and give your mind a break. It is scientifically proven that taking small regular breaks help you to retain more information, more efficiently.
    • Don't forget to set yourself a timer to remind you when it's time to get back to work.
  3. Reward your hard work. After you're done your work, indulge in one of your distractions.

Tips

  • Make sure all deviced are on silent or turned off
  • Work in a quiet place to relax your mind
  • Be well hydrated with water.
  • Be in a happy/interested state before you start studying
