Recover After a Triathlon

Triathlon can be really tierding for a person .'Recovering from a triathlon is easy if you use the correct ways to do so. Read this article to learn how to recover correctly.

Steps

  1. Eat healthy foods. After a triathlon, the person will be tired and most likley have to walk back to a car. Eat something so that has a higher energy tank, and make sure it is easy to digest. Make sure the person can eat it on the go, too.
    • the person may want a gel, too.
  2. Stay hydrated. This is vital after your triathlon, getting dehydrated is not a good way to recover from a triathlon. Just regular water will be fine, no juice or fizzy drinks! the person should have water on the person from the triathlon on the bike but the person can easily get water from a local store.
    • Try putting ice cubes in the water to make it cool and refreshing.
  3. Rest your body. Not as in go to sleep, simply sitting down is fine. After you complete a triathlon, don't go charging off to do an activity, sit down, relax. if the person is going to be tired after the triathlon, take a minute or so to get your strength back.
  4. Take regular rests. Sit down a bit, maybe go to the room and sleep, just chill out. Avoid activities like running, cycling, swimming, etc.
  5. See a doctor about any pain. If any pain occurs and it is increasing/persisting, then go see a doctor. You may have just pulled a muscle, or you may have done something serious. Go get it checked out.
