Scoot Well

Using a scooter can be difficult for everyone, but there are a few inner tricks that are key to using and riding your scooter well and fast.

Steps

  1. Push with your feet HARD. This will give you the needed momentum to jump start your scooter, and also the natural speed to keep moving a few seconds while you get in the desired position on your scooter. Make sure that you start by pushing off with your dominant foot, while your non-dominent foot is on the base of the scooter.
  2. Get used to the odd steering of the scooter. While you may feel like you didn't turn the handle bars a whole lot, the overall steering stick and steering wheel of a scooter is small and will turn much farther than you will think. Keep the turns tight and smooth for best outcomes.

Warnings

  • Always ride scooters with caution and watch for traffic. Wear a helmet whenever scootering over a hard surface.
