Set up Twitter in iOS

Twitter has been highly integrated natively into the iDevice experience. This means you can now link your Twitter account to your device and quickly and easily access features of Twitter right from within native apps on your device such as the Phone app or Safari. This article will teach you how to set up your Twitter account on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.

  1. Tap the Settings app to access your device's settings.
  2. Scroll down and tap the “Twitter” option.
  3. Click “Install Now” to install the official Twitter app, if you haven’t already.
  4. Enter your Full Name, Username, and Password associated with your Twitter account to link it with the native Twitter integration in iOS 5.
    • You can also optionally toggle “Find Me by Email” or “Tweet Location” to enable these features for Tweets associated with your iPhone.

  • iOS 5 provides an all-new message app called iMessage that allows you to access text messaging services as well free messaging over WiFi and 3G to any iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch running iOS 5.

  • iOS 5 is only compatible with iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPod touch 3rd and 4th generation.
