Shift on a Quad With Clutch
Follow the directions below when riding a quad with clutch.
Steps
- Get up enough speed to shift into the next gear.
- Release the accelerator on the quad.
- Hold the clutch in and shift into the next gear. The first gear is usually down and second, third, forth, (and sometimes fifth)is up completely per shift.
- Release the clutch and and begin to accelerate again.
- Continue following directions 1-4 when wanting to shift.
Warnings
- Always wear a helmet when riding a quad.
- Always beware of your surroundings when riding a quad.
- Make sure you always have adult supervision if you are under the age of 14.
