Survive Riding the School Bus

So, it's your first day of middle school. Your nervous about school, but what will happen on the bus? On top of all the school nerves, you have to worry about what will happen on the bus. That is why I'm here.

Steps

  1. Bring along something to play music. While waiting at the bus stop, bring your iPod or MP3 player. It will help avoid standing there feeling awkward with older people hovering over you. If you are allowed, listen to your music on the bus as well. It will help you block out the dirty language that is common in middle school buses.
  2. Find a friend. When you get on the bus, try and find somebody you know. If you can't find anybody you know, try and find a seat with only one person in it. If there are a few seats, look for somebody who looks really nice and is dressed nice. Ask them if you can sit with them, chances are they will say yes. But be careful, don't ask somebody who has their headphones in, looking down at the seat and looks mean. They will probably pretend they didn't hear you, or say no
  3. Chat. Once you are on the bus, if you are sitting next to a friend start a friendly conversation. If you are sitting next to a stranger and they look like they aren't in the mood for making a new friend, listen to your iPod or MP3 player, or just sit there patiently.

Tips

  • Be nice, or else nobody will want to sit with you.
  • Don't try too hard to look cool, it won't work.

Warnings

  • If you blast out your music very loud, people will get annoyed with you, and automatically think you are annoying.
  • Do not get into fights because it may ruin your reputation as well as your school experience.
