Transport Groceries in the Back of a Truck

Have you ever placed plastic bags full of groceries in the bed of your truck and tried to drive home? Did they open, crash and break against the sides of the truck with every turn you made? Here is how to prevent that.

Steps

  1. Carry a metal D ring on your key chain at all times.
  2. Bring the cart full of groceries to the bed of your truck.
  3. Load the plastic bag handles all together onto one of your index fingers.
  4. Hook all the bags together with your D ring.
  5. Place the whole load in the back of the truck.
  6. Attach the D ring to the tie down loop (found in the corner of the bed).
  7. Close tailgate.

Tips

  • You will find other purposes for your D ring.
  • Make sure you get every handle.
  • Tie the handles together to prevent spilling.
  • Have more than one D ring for more than one load.

Warnings

  • Don't hook too many bags together - you could hurt your back. Lift what you can into the truck and then add the rest piecemeal.

Things You'll Need

  • A metal D ring
