Draw a Heart

There are plenty of designs you can choose from in drawing hearts. They are commonly used as icons on projects, designs on scrapbooks or themes on events. Here are two simple ways to draw a heart. Let’s begin!

Steps

Heart Icon

  1. Start the outline sketch with two consecutive circles.
  2. Add a downward triangle on the outline sketch.
  3. Begin drawing the actual line on the left cheek of the heart.
  4. Draw the right cheek.
  5. Erase the outline sketches.
  6. Color the draft.
  7. Add the light and shade.
  8. Add a background.

Heart and Arrow

  1. Outline sketch with a circle.
  2. Draw another smaller circle overlapping the previous circle.
  3. Draw the downward triangle with a little perspective to it.
  4. Draw the first cheek.
  5. Add the second cheek.
  6. Erase the outline sketch and make a new one for the arrow. Always draw the arrow in a slanted way. It looks beautiful that way than the plain straight horizontal or vertical. It should show that both the cheeks were caught by the love arrow.
  7. Draw two curved lines right by the middle of the arrow.
  8. Start drawing the actual lines of the arrow’s wooden stick.
  9. Draw the actual lines of the main arrowhead.
  10. Add the actual lines on the arrow’s tail.
  11. Color the draft with its basic colors.
  12. Add the highlights and shadows, including the background.
