Get the Most out of a Long Weekend

Do you look forward to a long weekend, but then when it ends realize that you haven't done anything you like? Then this guide is for you.

Steps

  1. Briefly imagine what you would like to do. Would you like to travel far away, just relax at home or maybe visit events? If you just want to relax, then just do it. If you want to travel, then read Plan-a-Trip and Take a Weekend Trip by Yourself.
  2. Check your calendar and see if there are anything you have already planned to do.
  3. Look up in the newspaper for events you can visit, such as concerts, new cinema movies, fairs, local markets, outdoor festivals, and so on.
  4. Decide what of the events you want to do, and which you can.
  5. Make a scheme on what you plan to do or fill in those events in the calendar.
  6. Follow the scheme/calendar, and you will probably have got, if not the most, but something out of your long weekend.
  7. Some things you can do at home are...
    • Just relax and read or watch TV
    • Draw
    • Invite friends over and host a fun, but casual party
    • Start a scrapbook
    • Redecorate
    • Write
    • Etc.

Tips

  • It is not necessary to follow the scheme.
  • You can, of course, plan some non-activity time at the weekend (going on events every day can be perennial). Remember that, after all, weekends are for resting from work/school.

Warnings

  • Something unexpected can, of course, occur, such as the events be cancelled, which makes it impossible to follow the scheme. Don't be too sad if that happens.

Things You'll Need

  • A calendar or something else you can use as a scheme
  • A pencil to write things down on the scheme
  • A newspaper (optional)
  • Money (if you want to attend non-free events) (optional)
