- Wait for a special day, either a graduation or a holiday, or even the last day of school. Buy several gifts for a few of your friends, and buy one for him. Give them all out at the same time, so he won't think you bought one especially for him.

- Give him something you know he likes, like a football if he wears lots of jerseys, or a video game you know he likes.
- Give him the typical gifts like a CD or something you made or a video game he likes etc., so he does not think you went to a lot of trouble thinking of what to buy him.
